KYC & AML Policy

Identity verification, transaction review, and compliance controls for tokenized real estate participation.

ALTOKEN applies KYC and AML controls to protect investors, issuers, and the integrity of each offering listed on the platform. These procedures support onboarding, transaction monitoring, recordkeeping, and risk review across investor access, issuer workflows, and tokenized real estate operations.

Introduction & Commitment

ALTOKEN operates a compliance-first marketplace for tokenized real estate opportunities. Its KYC and AML program is designed to verify participant identity, assess risk, maintain required records, and support lawful participation by investors and issuers. These controls help reduce exposure to fraud, sanctions risk, money laundering, terrorist financing, and other prohibited activity.

Identity Verification (KYC)

Before accessing regulated offerings or issuer workflows, users may be required to complete identity verification. The process confirms who is using the platform, supports jurisdictional eligibility checks, and helps ALTOKEN apply the appropriate investor, issuer, and account controls.

Document Submission

Individual users may be asked to provide a valid government-issued identity document and, where required, supporting information such as proof of address, tax details, or source-of-funds context.

Liveness Check

A liveness or biometric verification step may be used to confirm that the person completing onboarding matches the submitted identity information.

Corporate Verification (KYB)

Entity accounts, issuers, and institutional participants may be required to submit formation documents, ownership information, and ultimate beneficial owner details so ALTOKEN can review legal structure and control.

Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

ALTOKEN's AML controls are based on risk review, ongoing monitoring, and escalation procedures. The platform may review user activity, funding behavior, account changes, and transaction patterns to identify conduct that requires enhanced diligence or reporting.

Transaction Monitoring

Fiat and digital asset activity may be reviewed for unusual transaction size, frequency, origin, destination, or behavior inconsistent with the expected use of an account or offering.

Sanctions Screening

Users, counterparties, and related data may be screened against sanctions, watchlists, and politically exposed person databases as part of onboarding and ongoing compliance review.

Suspicious Activity Reporting

Where required by law or regulatory obligation, ALTOKEN may restrict access, request additional documentation, escalate a case for review, or report suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.

Data Privacy & Security

KYC and AML reviews require sensitive personal, corporate, and financial information. ALTOKEN limits access to that information, applies operational safeguards, and handles compliance data in line with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Encryption

Sensitive compliance data is protected in transit and at rest using established security controls appropriate to the systems involved.

Access Control

Access to compliance records is limited to authorized personnel and service providers with a legitimate operational or regulatory need to review that information.

Data Retention

ALTOKEN retains compliance records for the period required by applicable law, regulation, or operational necessity, after which records are deleted or archived using controlled processes.
